Brown was born on October 24, 1951, in Kingston, Jamaica. A daughter of the Caribbean Soil, she
Lewis, and the late Stanley Wynter.
was born to the late Austin and Lena Wynter. She was also the youngest sister of Olive (Trevor) Scott, Carol (Thelma) From an early age God's hand was evident upon her life. As the Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 1:6, the One who begins a good work is faithful to complete it. That promise followed Evangelist Brown throughout her earthly Evangelist Brown was the proud and loving mother of 8 children: Karen (Vincent) Miller-Nwosu, George (Sharlene) Shepherd, Kevin Brown, Leon Brown, Kevette (Ricky) Tucker, Janice Brown, and the late Christopher Shepherd and
Handsome Shepherd.
Known as a peacemaker she was always encouraging her children to "Leave it to TIME- God will handle it".
While in Jamaica, Evangelist Brown made the most important decision of her life-she dedicated her life to Jesus Christ. However, this journey was not without deep sorrow. Evangelist Brown endured years of struggle including the heartbreaking loss of two children and her loving husband. Yet in grief, she held fast to God's sustaining presence. As declared in Psalm 73:23-26, when strength failed and her heart was wounded, she trusted that God remained her portion and her strength. But even then, her testimony echoed the truth of Romans 8:35-37 nothing could separate her from the love of Christ. In every trial. she stood as living proof that in all these things, we are more than conquerors through
Him who loves us.
In the year 2000 at the age of 49, Evangelist Brown immigrated to the United States. The transition was difficult. She lived three years in New York and then moved to
Pittsburgh, PA to live with her daughter and grandchildren.
Like Paul describes in Philippians 3:13, she learned to press forward, refusing to be held captive by her past, choosing instead to pursue the upward call of God. From that point on, her life was marked by service, ministry, and obedience.
Through hardship, healing, and perseverance, Evangelist Brown continued to walk in faith. She ministered not only through words, but through endurance showing others what it looks like to trust God when life gets heavy.
Evangelist Brown was a faithful and dedicated prayer warrior and a constant encourager as a devoted member of Rapha Ministries of the Apostolic Faith Church. No prayer line was ever too long, and no battle too great or too small that Evangelist Brown would not willingly war in prayer. She stood boldly in the gap for others, laboring before the Lord with persistence, compassion, and spiritual authority.
Evangelist Brown deeply loved the members of Rapha Ministries and cherished the fellowship of the body of Christ.
She built meaningful relationships across many churches, forming lasting friendships rooted in faith and love. Her heart for souls extended far beyond the church walls. She often testified of how she ministered to people on the streets- freely giving out tracts, sharing the Word, and boldly preaching Jesus Christ without shame. Wherever she went, she carried the gospel, believing wholeheartedly that every encounter was an opportunity for ministry. Her life was a living example of a servant who prayed fervently, loved deeply, and proclaimed Christ faithfully.
On December 24, 2025, Evangelist Brown finished her assignment and was escorted by Gods angels' to her home in Her life and legacy live on through her children, 22 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Olive Scott; brother, Carol Lewis and host of nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
