Beverly Ann Bush

Dear family and friends,

 I am excited to announce my long-awaited graduation from this life here on earth to my real life in God’s Kingdom on February 7, 2025! There are a few things I meant to say before, but I would like you to indulge me now. 

 To my brother Art Shassetz, thank you for being such a good brother. Your generosity and kindness over the years have meant so much to me and my family. We walked through deep trials in our early years, and I am grateful that we had each other during those difficult times. I love you, brother. 

 To Larry Bush and Dwain Bush, words cannot express my gratitude for your selfless acts of kindness and care of me and the rest of the family over these many years. Spending days at Larry’s camp and watching Dwain supervise Larry’s work are some of my favorite memories. You two are some of my favorite people and, although you are not flesh and blood, I could not have asked for better sons. I love you dearly.

 To my daughter Brenda Hager, I love you. My way of showing it wasn't always on target and for that, I am sorry. I always wished that you lived closer, but I enjoyed our many visits together over the years. Thank you for strongly encouraging me to take a few outings the last couple of years. It was nice to see the Maroon Bells and the home we shared many years ago in Paonia. I'm glad that you were able to locate your birth parents. If I run into them here, I will greet them with a smile.

 To Alan Bush, please don't be a stranger to the family. 

 To my friends and people who have come in and out of my life through the years, thank you for your words of encouragement and kindness. Thank you for your honesty and guidance. Thank you for allowing me to grow and become a better person.

 And finally, I leave you all with a few thoughts and lessons I have learned over the years. 

Life is short, don't squander it with laziness or living in the past. Be a good friend; call and visit often.Life isn't fair and it's difficult at times so, work hard because nobody else is going to do it for you. Love freely and do not hold grudges.Celebrate everything.Don’t just exist; continue to live and create.Do something uncomfortable; don’t be complacent. Take care of your things and clean them often; you won't be rewarded with more or better if you don’t take care of what you have. Stop complaining, nobody cares. Stop blaming God and others for your poor decisions. Exercise your mind by reading and doing puzzles. Don’t be too proud to ask for help.Enjoy the good things in life like family, gardening, cats, and camping. Take care of people. Do it right or don't do it at all. And finally, find Jesus -actually He's not lost, He's just waiting on you and don't wait as long as I did to accept Him. 

Now I'm going to spend time with my Lord and Savior and seek the many relatives who have gone before me including my parents Esther and Rudolph Shassetz, my brother Joseph Shassetz, Jim Bush, and my husband Carl Bush - who is likely fishing. I hope I see you on the other side.
