Beverly Butcher Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory - Rushville on Mar. 3, 2026.
Beverly was a fierce and feisty wife, mother, grandmother, "gram gram", bestie and sister. She cared deeply for her children and grandchildren. She never stopped worrying about any of them in typical mom fashion. She cared more for us than she did herself.

Lover of coffee, wine and sunshine followed by a day in the flowers were where she was happiest. She had a green thumb for sure and had zero self control. Shovel in the car always so that she was ready to dig up a flower no matter where she found it! A little Rod Stewart, Billie Holiday or Elvis caused a little tapping of her feet and a sing-a-long.

Wife to Jim Butcher for 62 years who she has missed terribly since his passing 3 short years ago. He was her best friend and she is now with him. She had fun with her children whenever together. Peeing and changing of clothes were almost a guarantee...and it wasn't just her that needed a change of clothes! Beverly was witty and heard more than what you thought. She knew how to laugh and keep you on your toes. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren fiercely. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play games and listening to them in the band. Never a dull moment with them. She was so incredibly proud of each of them.

She liked what she liked and you knew if she didn't like something. She was a firm believer if you aren't using it, no need to keep it. Unless or was her clothes apparently. Haha. She is no longer using this earthly body and is now resting eternal with those that she has missed. Til we meet you again mama...we love you.

Preceded in her passing were her husband Jim, daughter Carla, parents Carl and Mabel, sisters Margaret and Beulah, brother Bobby.

Sisters and best friends, Kathryn and Mary Rose.

Children Carey Butcher (Jan) Carla Ann (who she is holding now) Kristina Butcher, Laura Propes (Brian), Stephanee Viera (Skky), Carrie Wilson (Joey). Grandchildren: Isaac, Robert, Brittney, Steven, Samantha, Antonio and Drake. Great grandchildren: Jacob, Avery, Ella, Olivia, Reagan, and the newest Adam. Seeing and talking to her great grandchildren made her light up.

We will miss you terribly but grateful for the many years of love and light you brought us and anyone you met.
