Beverly Cooper

Waverly Beverly Ann Cooper, age 85, of Waverly, Ohio passed on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at her home. She was born February 28, 1938 in Ross County, Ohio to the late Paul Edward Woods and Dorothy Evelyn Russell Woods. On February 28, 1988 she was united in marriage to Sammie Cooper Jr. who preceded her in death on September 22, 2019. Surviving are her sons, Gerald "Jed" Dailey of Hilliard, Ohio, Bruce Dailey of Waverly, Tim Dailey of Waverly, Mark (Gabriella) Dailey of Fernandina Beach, Florida and Scott Dailey of Waverly; grandchildren, Keith, Sarah, Cody, Jessica, Kimberly, Ann Marie and Dewey Cooper; and great-grandchildren, Grant, Cara, Patrick, Aiden, Dixon and Noah. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Etta Jean Woods; a brother, Paul Edgar Woods; and daughters-in-law, Amy Dailey and Linda Dailey.

Beverly managed the Pike County Swim Club and also worked at Rhoads Meat Market and the Atomic Plant. She was also a member of the Waverly Church of Christ on David Road. Beverly collected frogs and Longaberger baskets and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She liked visiting the senior center and loved cooking and baking for her family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, May 26, 2023 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Larry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
