Beverly J. Culter

Beverly J. Culter, age 84 of Kimball Township, passed away on May 13, 2023 in her home, with her family by her side.
She was born on October 7, 1938 in Glen Ellen, Illinois to the late Gordon and Arline Major.
Beverly married Gordon D. Culter on July 9, 1955. Gordon preceded her in death.
She loved to crochet and made many afghans for the family. Beverly also loved word search books and playing Yahtzee with her sister. She excelled in folding fitted sheets, which she learned as a young lady working at the Dearborn Holiday Inn. She then passed this gift onto a couple of her granddaughters.
Beverly worked in housekeeping at Mary Dale in Port Huron until her retirement years ago. After losing her husband, she moved into Vicksburg Apartments in Marysville and lived there until April 2023 when she moved into her son's home, Michael and Julie, where she passed away surrounded by her family.
Beverly is survived by her sons, Gordon (Diane) Culter Jr., Michael (Julie) Culter and Ronald (Bobbi) Culter, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the many nieces and nephews she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Richard Major and Shirley Reid, granddaughter, Emily Culter and great-granddaughters, Olivia and Serenity.
Services will be private. Cremation arrangements in care of, Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Avenue, Port Huron.
Memorial tributes may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
