Beverly Curtis Obituary

Beverly Jane Curtis, of Ludington, MI, passed away at the age of 92 on Friday, October 17, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 6, 1933, in Walkerville, MI, to Clifford and Clara (Fairchild) Clark.

Beverly loved many things in life, including traveling to warmer weather in the winter, polka dancing, and eating dessert. In her spare time, Beverly would spend time with her friends, where they enjoyed coffee, sweet treats and gossiping about whatever the latest news was at that time. In her later years, Beverly volunteered at Corewell Health, Ludington Hospital, where she earned her 500-hour award before deciding to fully retire.

In the last month of her life, Beverly was eager to move in with her great-granddaughter, Kaylynn, great-grandson-in-law, Dylan, and their two children, Mabel and Delilah. Beverly's love for her family would always put a big smile on her face, especially the young ones. Her great-grandson, Chase, even gave her the nickname "Grandma the Great;" a name that will continue forever.

Beverly is survived by her children; Steve (Susan) Curtis; Janice (Joe Lee) LaPlante, and Bruce (Laura) Curtis; her step-son, Chris (Amy) Babcock; her grandchildren, Sonja (Jason) Battice, Stephanie (Nick) Jamieson, Melissa (James) Hearl, Erin (Luis) Perez, Sean (Jennifer) Curtis, and Andrea (Nate) Renzella; her great-grandchildren, Kaylynn (Dylan) Gouin, Kaiden Battice, Jaxon Battice, Noah Perez, Kloe Perez, Tyler Hearl, Lucas Hearl, Chase Jamieson, Declan Jamieson, Emma Renzella, Mia Renzella, Riley Curtis, Addison Curtis and Madeline Curtis; her great-great-grandchildren, Mabel Gouin, Delilah Gouin, Milo Battice and Lincoln Battice; her sister, Mona Bush; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Jackie Peterson.

Beverly was preceded in death by her son; Fred Curtis; grandson, Kraig Yeck; great-granddaughter, Shaman Battice; her daughter in-law Barbara (Arent) Curtis; her brothers, Mort Clark, Ivan Clark, Dale Clark, and Larry Clark; her sisters, Donna Smith, AnnaBelle Findley, and Marlene Harrold; her mother, Clara Clark-Bettys; and her father, Clifford Clark.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Pere Marquette Chapel, with Pastor Ryan White officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:30 PM until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
