OBITUARY
A LIFE WELL LIVED.
On Christmas Day, December 25, 2022, Beverly Robinson Dyer, age 85, loving mother and generous friend, passed away at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Dyer, and her two daughters, Kristi Randolph and Kary Hattaway, and her brother, Donald Robinson. She is survived by her granddaughter, Allison Randolph of Nashville, Tennessee.
Beverly was born June 9, 1937, in Old Hickory, Tennessee, to Marvin Elbert and Norma Goodwin Robinson. She was a graduate of DuPont High School in Old Hickory.
Beverly moved to Frederick following the death of her oldest daughter, Kristi in 2015 to be near her younger daughter, Kary. She resided at Spring Ridge Senior apartments in Frederick and enjoyed spending time with her many friends there. Following the death of her younger daughter Kary in 2020, she was blessed to have the love and support of her daughters' best friend Donna Frank, also of Frederick, who was her caregiver until her death.
Beverly was known as a generous, light-hearted and compassionate soul. She loved gardening and spent a lot of time tending to the flowers and landscape at her home in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1956 she was crowned "Queen of the Tennessee Valley" at the "World's Biggest Fish Fry and Fishing Rodeo." In that same year she was also crowned "Miss Nashville," and was one of five finalists in the "Miss Tennessee" contest. She won a two-year scholarship to attend Pasadena College of Theatre Arts in Pasadena, California and studied to become an actress. She played many challenging roles and acted in numerous theatrical productions including, "Green Grow the Lilacs," "My Three Angels," "The Devils' Disciple," and others.
She moved to New York City to continue her acting career and fashion modeling. Following a successful acting career, she married Billy Dyer and moved to Nashville where she raised her family. She worked as an administrative secretary for forty years at Opryland USA Amusement Park in Nashville.
Beverly will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
