Mrs. Beverly Ann Weitman Evans, 78, of Newington, Georgia, passed away at her residence on Monday, November 10, 2025.
Beverly was born on March 8, 1947, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Elbert G. Weitman and Doris M. McDaniel Weitman. As a nurse for more than 40 years, Beverly used her gift of caring for and serving others in all aspects of her life. Her greatest calling, however, was as wife, mother, and “Bea.” She shared 59 cherished years of marriage with her beloved husband, Mike, before his passing. Beverly’s love for her family knew no bounds; she delighted in being a devoted mother, grandmother, and —most recently— great-grandmother to her precious great-granddaughters.
Above all, Beverly loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith was the foundation of her life. More than anything, she longed for her loved ones to deepen their faith in the Lord, and for those she knew who weren’t yet believers to come to know Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, Micheal Earnest Evans; infant daughter, Teresa Marie Evans; brother, George Mark “Mac” Weitman; brother-in-law, Billy K. Evans; and a niece, Karlene Evans Kirkland.
She is survived by her children: Matthew Karlyle (Michelle) Evans of Rincon; Michelle Guy of Newington; and Melissa Davidson of Newington; her grandchildren: Maddie (Luke) Gibbs of Greenwood, SC; Megan (Colby) Owens of Rincon; Merritt Evans of Rincon; Macen Evans of Rincon; Gray (J.) Seymour of Amory, MS; and Lauren Guy of Savannah, GA; her great-granddaughters: Sonny James Seymour and Lucy Lee Gibbs; her brother and sister-in-law: Gary and Dixie Weitman; her sister-in-law: Bayne S. Evans; her niece: Stephanie Weitman; her nephew: Stephen (Amy) Weitman; her great-nephew: Trent William Weitman; and many beloved cousins.
Pallbearers will be Merritt Evans, Macen Evans, Luke Gibbs, Colby Owens, J Seymour, Stephen Weitman, and Trent William Weitman.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Preston Weitman, Walter Weitman, and Mitchell Weitman.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at MiddleGround Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Aaron Webb and Rev. J Seymour officiating.
Interment will follow at North Newington Baptist Church Cemetery.
