I was very sorry to hear of Bev's death. I meant to get in touch with her after I read about her retirement in the Anoka Union last year. Thoughts that didn't turn into action.
I hadn't seen or talked with her and Mike for many years but she and I worked together at the library when we were going to college, learned to play tennis (not very well) together, and both got married within a month of one another. Time just zoomed by and we both got busy with family and life. But I always thought there'd be time to reach out and connect with her again.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to those loved Bev.
I met Bev many years ago when our daughters were in Girl Scouts. Our troops would often get together for some fun event such as tent camping at Lake Barbara, performing a Puttin’ on the Hits show, or hosting a sweetheart dance for the girls and their dads.
As our girls grew older, Bev, Jane Szymanski and I served as Service Unit Managers of the Spring Lake Park Girl Scouts. It was a monumental task for three people and we couldn’t have done as well as we did without Bev’s patience, knowledge and her exceptional organizational skills.
I’ve always admired Bev for the loving care she provided when her mother and father were ill. She made their final days easier to bear.
Bev was a good friend, a devoted daughter and an exceptional mother. She will be missed very much.

Dear Mike, Megan & Nancy,
I want you to know how much Bev meant to me. She was my boss, my teacher, my friend and my confidante. I feel that I knew her, indeed, better than my own sisters, as we worked together for 29 years. She will be missed, greatly, by all that had the good fortune to work with her or enjoy her company.
With my deepest sympathy,
Lynne Wies

Mike, Megan and Nancy,
Your Wife, Mom and Sister was a wonderful person; kind, generous and inspirational to all who has the good fortune to know her. As a library employee I was fortunate enough to work with her for many years. She was a lovely person and will be missed by me and so many others. I hope kind words and precious memories will help you during this time.

Beverly Flaherty was a good friend and a consumate professional in her life and in the positions she held at Anoka County Library. I greatly appreciated the input and support she provided during the thirty years that we worked together. She contributed greatly to the improvement of public library services in Anoka County and leaves a legacy that is known and appreciated by her friends and collegues. Although we will be unable to attend the Memorial Service, we will always remember her friendshp and accomplishments.
