Beverly Flott Obituary
Beverly Jean Flott (Gilliland) of Nixa, Missouri passed away October 23, 2023. Beverly was born in Emporia, Kansas on October 5, 1936 to Ruth Ellen Gilliland and Orvin Wayne Gilliland. She graduated from Emporia High School. Beverly married the love of her life, Donald Roy Flott, and together they had Donald (Don) Flott Jr. and Elizabeth (Beth) Ann.
Bev was an amazing homemaker and enjoyed entertaining her entire life. She loved decorating, baking and hosting lots of holiday parties. Her hobbies included: participating in PTA, and being active in her kids' schools, and volunteering with the American Heart Association. She and Don loved planting flowers.
Bev and Don's greatest joy in life was being parents and grandparents. Some of their fondest memories are of when Don served in the Army and they lived in Germany before having their children.
Beverly and Don were happily married for 63 years. They are now united again. Beverly is survived by her loving family Don Jr. (Ann), Daughter Beth (Carl), grandchildren Myles, Jessica, Jay, Isabella, Maria, and Carlina. Bev was preceded in death by her husband Don Sr., her parents Ruth and Orvin, and her brother, Yogi Gilliland.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Fred Toomey officiating.
