Mrs. Beverly Jean Henrich

Beverly Henrich, 78, of Ankeny, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 15, 2012. A visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Memorial Services of Iowa funeral home, at Ankeny Memorial Gardens (4208 North Ankeny Blvd.) Funeral services will be held on 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 20, also at the funeral home. Beverly was born in Des Moines, IA on June 14, 1934 and graduated from North High School. Beverly was married to William Henrich on May 18, 1973 and resided in Nevada, IA for 35 years until moving to Ankeny, IA in 2007. Beverly was blessed with many long-time friends, who were very special and endearing to her. She will be remembered by many for her years of in-home child care. She provided tender, loving care to numerous families throughout her community. She not only touched the hearts of the babies and children she cared for, but was also known for her love and enjoyment of playing cards, scrabble and traveling. She's been known by many as having an unstoppable shopping ability. Beverly rarely missed a grand and great- child's birthday party. Beverly's love for cooking was enjoyed by many; every day was considered a holiday to eat at her table. Beverly will be greatly missed by her spouse, William Henrich of Ankeny; two daughters: Judy Downs (Bob) of Ankeny and Janet Breitenkamp of Urbandale; three sons: Steve Mitchell of Urbandale, Mike Mitchell (Deb) of Collins, Matt Henrich of Nevada. She was a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother to all of her grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Theodore Point (June) of Boise, ID.
