Beverly A. Higgins

Beverly A. Higgins, of Lake Hamilton, Florida passed away on 2/11/2026 with her loving family by her side. She was 80 years old. She was born on August 8, 1945, in Hockessin County, Delaware and moved to Lake Hamilton over 50 years ago from Newark, Delaware.

Beverly started her career with the City of Dundee as a temporary dispatcher for the police and then moved to city hall and ended her career at Dundee as the City Manager. She then worked for some time with Combee Airboats and after that she went to work for the City of Lake Hamilton as an Admin Clerk where she retired from. She was a notary Public and enjoyed in doing several weddings, she was of the Christian faith. Beverly and her late husband, David, enjoyed going places together all the time and when the grandchildren started to arrive, they took over her time and her heart. She was also quite a Facebook user, which allowed her to stay in touch with her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, David Higgins, Sr., her siblings, Marshall Lloyd and Janice Norris. Beverly is survived by her son David Higgins, Jr. And his wife, Mercedes and their family of 8 children and numerous grandchildren; also, son, Dennis Higgins and his wife, Amy and their family of 1 daughter and 4 grandchildren, as well as her sister, Linda Hendrickson.

A visitation will be Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 11 am until the funeral at 12 noon at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, FL.
