Beverly Jean Byrne Hulse, 85, of Zionsville, former longtime resident of Middletown, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of September 7, 2011. Beverly was born June 30, 1926 in Fairmount, IL to Theodore and Dorthea Steinbergen Byrne; they preceded her in death. Mrs. Hulse was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Marvin Hulse, in 2000; her sisters, Lila Willey and Joyce Calhoun; and her brothers, Robert Byrne and Jack Byrne. Beverly retired in 1971 from Delco-Remy in Anderson and was a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Middletown where she and Marvin were residents until moving to Zionsville in 1999. She will be forever remembered as a loving mother and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spoiling her family at holiday dinners with her famous noodles. Mrs. Hulse is survived by her daughters, Kathie Newman (Mike) and Cheryl Keller (Bob); her grandchildren, Terri Sylvester (Jim), Jason Pittman, Kim O'Day (Pat), and Jeff Newman; her great-grandchildren, Nathan and Hannah Sylvester and Owen and Ethan O'Day; her cousin, Dean Byrne, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, Monday, September 12, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center, 105 W. Pine St., Zionsville, IN 46077 with a funeral service beginning at 1 pm. Burial will follow the service at Zionsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
