Beverly M. (Granese) Maguire, 83
1940 - 2024
Peabody - Beverly M. (Granese) Maguire died unexpectedly surrounded by family at her home on Friday, February 16th. She was 83 years old. Beverly was born on September 8th, 1940, in Boston to her late parents, Valentino & Phyllis (D'Orio) Granese. She was one of three children. Beverly was raised and educated in Lynn. She was an alumna of Lynn English High School, class of 1958. She would go on to meet her husband, John "Jack" Maguire. The couple were married and settled in Lynn. Together they had two daughters, Kim and Kelly. Beverly happily and proudly raised her girls. She was a loving mother and devoted wife. Beverly returned to the workforce when her children were of age, later working in customer service for Stop and Shop in Swampscott for many years. Beverly loved her family with her whole heart. She remained very close to her siblings and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking and feeding all the people she loved, and then some. Her time with her family was always most important to her and gave her the most happiness. She loved all animals, especially her cats, Lily and Bella. People will remember Beverly as one of the most caring individuals who would always put everyone else first. She was the beloved wife of the late John H. "Jack" Maguire, the loving mother of Kim I. McFarlane of Lynn, and Kelly Maguire Castle of Peabody, the cherished grandmother of Tiffany McFarlane and her fiancé Tony Frasso of North Reading, Matthew Howarth of San Diego, CA, Taylor Castle and Ryan Castle, both of Peabody. She is the adored great-grandmother of Emily, Abigail, Jackson, and Logan. She is the treasured sister of the late Joseph T. "Brother" Granese & his surviving wife Pamela A. "Pam" Granese of Marblehead and the late Barbara Stanga and her husband Thomas Stanga. She is also lovingly survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Service Information: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, February 24th from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm at the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St. Revere. A prayer service will begin at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01970. I am so sorry for the loss of your wonderful mother. She graduated with me from Lynn English class of 58 and often would attend our class reunions. I always enjoyed seeing her. Again, I am so sorry for your great loss.
