Mena, 64, passed away peace-
fully on November 24, 2025, in
Indianapolis, Indiana. She was
born on January 30, 1961, i n
Monterey, California, to Mary
Helen (Gonzalez) Mena and
Robert Mena.
She married Stephen R . Zook,
and together they raised three
children-Matthew (Ashley)
Zook, Sarah Michelle Zook, and
Andrew (Brie) Zook-during
more than 25 years o f marriage in California before relocating to Indiana in the early 2000s. Beverly also played a nurturing role in the lives of her nieces Megan, Shawna, and Tonya, as well as several nephews. She was especially instrumental in helping raise her
grandson Daniel for several
years during his youth.
Her grandchildren: Daniel
Long of California; Destiny Stover and Maddie and Lilly Zook
of Columbus, Indiana-were the
joy of her life. Beverly's home was a place of warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of traditional Mexican dishes.
Though raised Catholic, Bev-
erly found spiritual fulfillment
attending Christian church ser-
vices in Columbus, Indiana. She
also had a fondness for lighthouse décor, which brought charm and serenity to her home.
Beverly will be remembered
for her selflessness, loyalty, and
the lasting love she gave to all
who knew her.
A Celebration of Life service
will be held locally at a later date and time.
