Beverly K. Parham

Beverly K. Parham, a cherished nursing instructor and devoted pillar of her community, passed away on December 22, 2025, at the age of 83 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on December 6, 1942, in Enid, Oklahoma, Beverly's life was defined by her unceasing compassion, her deep faith, and an unwavering commitment to her family and friends.
Beverly's passion for education was evident through her distinguished career as a nursing instructor. Her mastery and dedication to teaching earned her the respect and admiration of countless students and colleagues. She held a Master's Degree in Education, which empowered her to sculpt the minds of future nurses with care and excellence.
A woman of deep Christian faith, Beverly was a loyal member of the University Heights United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Her commitment to the church was reflected in her active involvement in numerous activities, including the BIBS (Better Indy Babies) program. A mission focused on helping expectant mothers and new parents with essential items like diapers, formula, and clothing through their pantry.
Beverly found great joy in the company of her two best friends, Sharon Wilson and Soni Scaggs, who were like family to her. Together, they shared innumerable memories that mirrored Beverly's vibrant personality. She was also a consummate bridge player, a solver of countless crossword puzzles, and an avid reader, always keen on the pursuit of knowledge and the simple joy of a good story.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Frank Parham in 1986. Beverly's loving legacy continues through her family. She is survived by her daughters, Shelby (Nick) Slowik and Stacey (Brandt) Williams; her brother, Jack (Marilyn) Keck Jr.; and her adoring grandchildren, Jack and Alex Williams. Through them, her spirit of love and service lives on. As a widow for nearly 40 years, Beverly's strength of endurance and love was always evident to her daughters who will cherish and live by the example she provided through the years.
Beverly K. Parham will be deeply missed, but the impact she made will continue to ripple through the lives of those she touched for generations to come. Her spirit, teachings, and love remain a guiding force, and her memory a beacon of warmth and light to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
