Beverly R. Pennington née Woody age 69 of Virginia Beach died Wednesday November 26th, 2025, at 1:30am, peacefully in her home surrounded by family. She was born March 23, 1956, Clarksburg WV, the daughter of the late George R. Woody of Rock Cave WV and Rosemary F. Bragg née Reed of Clarksburg WV. She married William (Bill) Bryan Pennington, Sr. on July 28, 1976. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother's, Yale W. Woody, Richard R. Woody, and sister, Kimberly S. Montgomery née Woody. Her grandparents, Russel F. Reed and Esther M. Reed née Bourne of Jane Lew WV, grandparents, Dorsey A Woody and Della May Woody née Hanline of Rock Cave WV. Uncles Dorsey A. Woody, Jr. and Bonnie, Carl Woody, Howard Woody Rock of Cave WV.
Mrs. Pennington is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Pennington Sr. of Virginia Beach; 1 daughter, Jocelyn M. Koonce née Pennington and her husband Clifford W. Koonce of Virginia Beach; 1 son, Timothy R. Pennington of Virginia Beach; 2 stepsons, William Bryan Pennington, Jr. of Virginia Beach, and Steven Pennington of Winchester, VA; 1 grandson, Rubin T. Pennington; 3 granddaughters, Gracie P. Koonce, Faith A. Koonce and Kiley Wnek; 3 step grandsons, Samuel J. Pennington, Kyle Pennington and Jonathan W. Koonce; 1 step granddaughter, Morgan Pennington; 3 great grandchildren, Aliya Pennington, Isabella Pennington and Rubin T. Pennington Jr.; 2 nephews, Richard R. Woody Il and Amber Woody and sons Logan and Luke of Sharpsburg MD, Michael F. Woody and Melissa Woody daughter Kara, sons Dylan and Garrett Woody and Julien Hagerman of Winchester, VA. Very good friend and former sister-in-law, Elizabeth Fahrner of Bunker Hill, WV and Thelma Woody.
Mrs. Pennington was a licensed Optician for over 30 years. She enjoyed helping people in the eye field. She enjoyed going to church reading her bible and participating in her Sunday school class and playing with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Pennington wishes to be cremated funeral services will be held later. Her burial will be held later in Rock Cave WV at Pleasant Dale Cemetery Church with the rest of her Woody Family.
