Beverly "Bev" Jo Plambeck January 13, 1932 – October 20, 2025
Beverly "Bev" Jo Plambeck, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, in Walnut Creek, California, at the age of 93, surrounded by family who loved her deeply.
Bev was born on January 13, 1932, in Kansas. As a young child, her family moved to Oregon. She later settled in Richmond, California, where she met the love of her life, William "Bill" Plambeck. They married and soon after moved their young family to Clayton, California, where they built a warm and loving home and became deeply rooted in the community.
Bev was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 66 years, Bill Plambeck, and by her treasured sons Mark Plambeck and Matthew Plambeck. She is survived by her loving son Eric Plambeck, her granddaughters Allison Plambeck (Samara) and Marybeth Brown-Plambeck, and her treasured great-grandchildren Grace, William, and Everly.
A woman of faith and community, Bev was a proud member of First Christian Church of Concord since 1957. Her warm smile, quiet strength, kindness, and limitless volunteerism made her a cherished part of the congregation for nearly seven decades.
Bev was an exceptionally talented bookkeeper, admired for her precision, intelligence, and steady hand. She and Bill shared a deep love of travel, exploring the world together and enjoying countless trips with extended family and friends. She also loved bringing people together - hosting lively dinner parties, family card games, and her legendary New Year's Eve celebrations, which became beloved traditions for all who knew her.
Above all, Bev will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her generous spirit, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and cared for. Her legacy of love, faith, and togetherness endures in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A private family burial will be held prior to a Celebration of Life at First Christian Church of Concord. Details will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites loved ones to remember Bev by sharing a favorite story, memory, or act of kindness in her honor. Donations may also be made to First Christian Church of Concord, a community that held a special place in her heart for nearly seven decades.
