Bev was an outspoken opinionated woman who wasn't afraid to speak her mind. She believed it was important to work hard for what you had, and you always help those in need. She had a passion for animals and always had room for one more. She loved to joke and had a laugh that was contagious. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed beyond measure by those who knew her."
Beverly is survived by her husband Fred Poynor, brothers Charles (Cheryl) Peterson, Phil Peterson; children Pam Tayer, and Mike Poynor, grandchildren Allen (Kayla) Harig, Michael Devin Poynor, Jake (Vicki) Tayer, Allison (Devin) Gauther, Derryl (Karry) Poynor, Jessica Williams, Katie Tayer, Ethan Poynor, great grandchildren Rykker, Greyson, and McKenna Harig, Clayton Poynor, and Charlotte Tayer.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ward and Mildred Peterson, brothers Kenneth and Bobby Peterson; sisters-in-law
Gay Peterson, Roz Ammon and brother-in-law Walter Poynor.
A service will be held Tuesday July 23rd at 2:00 pm at Jowett Family Funeral Home in Benzonia, with Doug Clement officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place afterwards at Homestead Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Animal Welfare League of Benzie County. Arrangements by Jowett Family Funeral Home of Benzonia.
