Beverly Ann "Ish" Keller Rone, 86, of Owensboro, died Thursday, September 10, 2009, at her home, surrounded by her children. She was born August 13, 1923, to the late Max E. and Elizabeth Norris Keller in Daviess County. She was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church, and had a deep Christian faith. She loved her life on the farm with her husband, Huston, and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, card playing, traveling and watching UK basketball.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Huston Rone, on October 19, 1976, her son-in-law, Robert W. Makowski, her siblings, John Keller, Mary Helen "Sit" Bowman, Catherine "Bit" Giblin, Maxine Pfeiffer, and Martine Kearns.
Survivors include her children; Mickey Rone and his wife, Ilene of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Jack Rone and his wife, Sharon of Stanley, Mark Rone and his wife, Jill of Stanley, Beth Rone Royster and her husband, Jud of Henderson, Scott Rone of Lexington, and Peggy Rone Makowski of Hartland, WI; her grandchildren, Sara, Leah, Megan, Kristi, April, John, Robyn, Ashley, Katye, Kris, Jenny, Emmi, Huston, Bobby, and Kathryn; and thirteen great-grandchildren; her siblings, Leon Keller, Anita "Punk" Mitchell, Bettie Hall, and her husband, Kick; numerous nieces and nephews; a special friend, Regina Lewis.
Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, at St. Peter of Alcantra Catholic Church, in Stanley, with burial in St. Peter Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday, with prayers at 6:00 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, and after 9:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.
