Beverly Ann Shunk, 71, of Bellaire passed away on October 27, 2025, at her home in
Bellaire, Ohio.
Born on August 14, 1954, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Robert Damon and Phyliss (Gray) Burgy.
Beverly was a beloved member of her community, known for her warmth and kindness. She dedicated much of her professional life to serving others as a waitress at Riga's Family Restaurant. Her friendly demeanor and attentive service left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was a soul who found joy in the simple act of cooking, sharing her love through the meals she lovingly prepared for anyone fortunate enough to come to her home. Those who knew her can attest to the open heart and welcoming spirit that defined her life.
Her kitchen was a haven, where friends and family gathered. Bev's ability to nurture and connect with others through her culinary talents will be missed by all who had the pleasure of sitting at her table.
Outside of work, Beverly was passionate about gardening and plants. Additionally, Beverly had a deep affection for animals, always showing compassion and love towards them throughout her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas L. Shunk on August 21, 2022 and a son, Robert Michael Violet.
Survivors include her sons; Christopher (Karen) Violet, of St. Clairsville, and Geoffery (Joanna) Violet of Bellaire, sisters; Rose McFarland and Debbie Burgy, grandchildren; Chelsey Violet, Devin Violet, Madison Violet, and Jace Violet, as well as great-grandchildren; Audrionna, Bentley, Kynlee and Elijah.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday November 1, 2025 from 10am until time of service at 12pm at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441 37th Street, Bellaire Ohio. Interment to immediately follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Bellaire Ohio.
