Beverly Simpson Obituary

Beverly Ann Simpson

February 4, 1938 - January 11, 2025

Boise, Idaho - In Loving Memory of Beverly Ann Simpson (1938-2025)

Beverly Ann Simpson, born Beverly Ann Pederson on February 4, 1938, in Caldwell, Idaho, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family, on January 11, 2025. She was 86 years old.

Beverly was the beloved daughter of Melius Pederson and Nova "Jane" Mills. She shared a special bond with her siblings: Patricia (Pederson) Howell, Michael Woods, Billie Sue Woods, and Kim Pederson. A devoted mother, she cherished her children, Robert Clancy and Linda (Clancy) Long, and took immense pride in her grandchildren, Jaeson Long and Lindsay (Long) Harris, Austin Clancy and McKenzie Clancy. Her great-grandchildren, Haeley & Jaelyn Long, Lucas & Nolan Harris, and Kolter Abramowski, brought her great joy.

Having lived in Idaho her entire life, calling Nampa, Caldwell, and Boise home, Beverly was deeply connected to her community. She attended Lakeview Grade School and Franklin Grade School in Nampa before graduating from Nampa High School with the Class of 1956.

Beverly dedicated 31 years of service to Idaho Power Company as a Customer Service Representative before retiring in August 1997. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi in Nampa, Credit Women's International, and Christian Women's of Boise. A passionate organizer, she worked tirelessly on the Snake River Stampede Rodeo for Beta Sigma Phi and helped coordinate her Class of '56 reunions.

She was married to Lawrence Clancy (1956-1971) and later to Lyle Simpson (1973-1989). Since 1990, she shared a wonderful companionship with George Weston and embraced his children, Drew and Tyson Weston, and Kellee (Weston) Higginbotham, as family.

Beverly was an adventurer at heart, traveling far and wide across the United States and beyond to places like Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, and Norway. She loved music, movies, dancing, and was a fixture at breakfasts with friends and family. Whether cheering at rodeos, parades, or football and basketball games, her infectious joy was unmistakable.

Known for her jolly laugh and vibrant personality, Beverly truly was the life of the party, always planning gatherings and creating memories with those she loved. Her warmth and enthusiasm will be deeply missed but forever cherished.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 22, 2025, at The Brick Office (Old Crescent Brewery Bottling Building) 7- 9th Ave N, Nampa, Idaho from 1 to 5 p.m. (or until the cows come home), where family and friends will come together to honor her incredible life.

Beverly's legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Engaging in breakfast out was a favorite pastime of Beverly. In lieu of flowers, please invite a friend or family member to breakfast, reminisce about good times, and laugh a lot. She would love that.

Beverly befriended me in 1985 while working in the Nampa office. We had many, many lunches, parties, and laughs together over the years. She was truly the life of the party! Rest in Peace, my beautiful friend. I miss you!
