Beverly Smith

Beverly Smith, a native of Rockville, CT and resident of Ellington, CT passed away on January 19, 2026. She was 85.

Born October 25, 1940 to the late William and Harriet (Kington) Schweitzer, Beverly spent her life caring for her family. In 1957, she married David Smith, spending almost 50 years together. In her later years she raised golden retrievers. She enjoyed fishing and working on puzzles. She was also a devoted Boston Red Sox fan and UCONN Huskies fan, who stayed up-to-date as an avid listener of Joe Castiglione on 1080 AM.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband David, and her son-in-law Joe Glomboske.

She is survived by: her daughter Tonya Glomboske; her grandson Bryan Goulet and his wife Laura; her great-grandchild Lillian; her brother David Schweitzer and his wife Marie; and her best friend of 60 years Peggy Shelsky.

The family would like to thank her neighbors Bob and Bev Viada for their help and support.

Per her wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ladd-Turkington and Carmon Funeral Home.
