Chapel Hill, NC - Beverly Ann Vasko (Nanosky) passed away on Saturday, January 10. She was a determined and energetic force; a faith-filled woman who cared for others and provided many services in her community. Beverly joins her husband of 60 years, Philip, as they dance above us on the clouds. She was also preceded in death by her son Kenneth, her brother Michael, and her parents Michael and Caroline Nanosky.

She is survived by her children Diane (Chris), Philip Michael, Matthew (Ann); grandchildren Courtney (Bobby), Kyle (Nick), Kara (Wyatt) Zachary, Adam; and great-grandchildren Bergen and Sonora. She also leaves behind her brother John and sister-in-law Maryann as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in New York, New York in 1937, Beverly became a world traveler at 19. She and her high school sweetheart Philip, married and moved to Honolulu, Hawaii where he began his diplomatic career. His career led them to adventures in places like the Philippines, Laos, Ethiopia, Iran, Japan, and Cyprus.

Beverly and Philip retired to North Carolina in 2003 where they actively participated in their church family at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. Beverly loved her family and friends and one of her greatest joys was serving her church family.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 30 in the Church Gathering Space beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a eulogy at 10:45 a.m. The Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m., with inurnment taking place immediately following the Mass. A reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall after the inurnment.
