TREMONT – Beverly Kay Vaupel, 85, of Tremont, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at her home. She was born on May 8, 1939, in Peoria, to Joseph and Alice Emma (Pfeifer) Dully. Beverly married George Vaupel on October 11, 1959, in Morton, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1999. Beverly was also preceded in death by one grandson, Mitchel Woods.
Surviving are her daughters, Kathlene Jo Vaupel of Delavan and Kristie Lynn Kelley of Washington; four grandchildren, Morgan Woods, Brock (Grethel) Kelley, Alex Kelley and Maggie (Avery) Sneed and four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Jordyn, Harper and Leroy.
Beverly worked at Caterpillar and First National Bank of Tremont before retiring from Bank Plus after 27 years.
She loved to sew and bake. Beverly was the biggest fan of her grandchildren's activities. She also enjoyed reading and playing the organ.
Beverly was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton, where she was a member of the Handbell Choir and also St. John's Lutheran Church in Pekin.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton, with Pastor Greg Moyer officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, prior to the service at the the church. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
