Dear Volkmanns!

Heartbreaking news, gone too soon! We were neighbors for 30 years or so, raised our families together. There was a time this section of Casa Oro was noisy with kids playing after school, on weekends, and so much laughter waiting for the school bus, many times chasing after Keni-Jo´s rabbits when they got out at 6:30 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. They had to get them corralled and in our yard before the bus came. The kids turned that challenge into fun! They imposed that task on themselves without anyone assigning it to them. Ha-ha! Keni-Jo´s rabbits would show up under cars, in the bushes and trees just as the kids were waiting on that picnic table Shawn put out for them. This happened often. Their adrenaline got pumping and oh the laughter from Michael, the Fechner´s, and Johnson´s. Happy memories!
Somehow I just always thought things would remain the same but things change. I missed ya´ll when you left the neighborhood. And I still miss you today! Beverly´s sweet demeanor will surely be greatly missed.

My heartfelt condolences to you, Mike and the family, especially the grands. I can imagine her super loving heart will be missed forever by the grandchildren. Losing a parent, grandmother is hard I know. May you all lean on Jesus Christ to travel this journey together to embrace His peace and comfort.

Michael and our son, Chris, were friends at the daycare at NEB hospital and at El Dorado Elementary. Mike and Beverly gave Chris the car and racing bug when they would take him to the racing events with Michael. We moved to Uvalde in 1989, but the boys have remained forever friends. Our memories of Beverly, are of a dedicated coworker, a loving wife and mother, and the genuine joy in everything she did in life. Thank you for being a forever blessing to our family.
