Beverly Sue Wiggs, age 89, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born on December 3, 1933 to Jack and Emma Caroline Adair in Kirklin, IN.
Our mother was one of ten children of which she is the last of the children to survive. She lost her mother at the early age of 12 and became an instant big sister/mother to her younger brother, Jimmy Joe. Mom's parental skills along with her great cooking skills developed early in her life as she had to cook for the family and help raise her brother. She became an instant parent upon her mother's passing.
Mom met her husband to be, Max Wiggs after graduating from high school. They were married in 1952. They spent 57 years of marriage together until Dad's passing in 2009. They loved to travel, visit children, go to horse shows, and to ride the waves in their boat.
They lived in Ripon/Rosendale, WI from 1969 to 1990 at which time they moved to Pinckneyville, IL where they resided for 30 years. For the past 3 years, mother has resided in Green Lake, WI.
As stated, Mom was a wonderful cook. She could make a wonderful meal from anything, never measured. Just a "pinch of this or a dab of that" to make it taste perfect.
Mom is survived by her five children, Kyle (Joan) Wiggs, Greg (Cynthia) Wiggs, Debra (Dennis) Werch, Holly (Kirk) Dailey, and Shay (Shani) Wiggs. We were affectionately known as #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5 when she would answer our calls on the phone. She was so proud of her 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was all smiles when they visited with her.
Mom, our minds still talk to you, our hearts still look to you and our souls know you are at peace.
At mother's request, there will be a private memorial service by her family. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be directed to:
