In memory of
Chris Johnson
January 15, 2025
I met Bianca at BYU in early 1974, and we dated for several months. She was then as she undoubtedly was for the rest of her life--lovely, lively, creative, inquisitive, faithful and passionate. She took joy in all the things that she did,
whether it was acting, attending a movie, play or concert, or even studying.
She had such a nice family, too. Her mother always welcomed me warmly at her home on the east side of Provo. Her sister, Rita, and brother-in-law, Scott, even double-dated with us. It saddens me greatly to realize that they have all returned to Heavenly Father.
Knowing that I wished to travel throughout my life, Bianca encouraged to acquire a useful skill--speaking Italian. I heeded her advice and took one year of classes from Professor John Spartano, at that time the only professor of Italian at BYU. Many trips to Italy followed. By a cosmic coincidence, I was in Venice when Bianca passed away, still thankful for her advice. Addio, amica mia.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

I am still in disbelief that Bianca has passed to the other side and cannot express how much I dearly love her and appreciate her faith, passion, humor, intelligence, generosity, and tireless dedication for good causes. She was in every way inimitable. We became friends on Facebook, so my initial introduction was to Anne Palmieri, which rapidly became a personal friendship as we connected in so many ways, down to her being the mission leader for the son of someone I taught in Brazil in 1987. We formed groups with other friends and had dinners at the Lisonbees and at our home, attended the Jordan Peterson lecture in a box seat Bianca generously provided for everyone, and she and I had many, many meaningful conversations about topics near and dear to us. The last text I got from her was on Sept 11, which sounded hopeful about a new treatment, and I prayed and hoped for her recovery. How we will all go on without her indefatigable optimism, service, encouragement, and goodness is hard to imagine. Please, dear Lisonbee family, accept my deepest condolences. Your obituary tribute did your mother and grandmother justice. I'm grateful she has her sister and parents now, grateful her faith in Christ sustained her and gives hope that we, too, will be with her again.

Without Bianca generous heart I probably would have gone without a wedding dress. My parents were in Samoa and communication was sketchy and I had no means to by a wedding dress, but Bianca came to my rescue and lent her hers. That was such a lovely thing for her to do for me!

David and Bianca helped jumpstart our mission to Italy to whom we will be forever grateful. They helped us integrate with the members and particularly the YSA and local church leadership. They were dearly loved, and were sorely missed when they went home. Bianca was a burst of joy and energy! We can still recall the emotion-filled talk she gave in Italian to the Milano 1st Ward. We also remember her positive attitude and endless energy when we were stranded in our cars overnight in a 100 year snow storm just outside of Florence. Even though we were with David and Bianca less than six months of our mission, their examples and influence helped carry us through our three years. Grazie tanto e vi vogliamo un mondo di bene! We love you. David and Sue Wolfgramm
