Big Mecum "Big C" Obituary
Big Charlie Mecum "Big C," 67, passed away March 28, 2025. He was preceded in death by parents, Anson C. Sr. and Janet Lucille Mecum, and wife, Melody A. Dolby Mecum; siblings, Robert Whitt and Cindy Collins. Charlie is survived by children, Charles E. (Johna) Mecum, Tony Mecum, Josh (Kelly) Mecum, Amanda (Richard Sr.) Balasico, Allan (Hanna) Dolby, and Ralph Doyle; furry companion, Bear; grandchildren, Monell, Shayla, Brayden, Charlise, and Charlotte; Janet, Richard, McKenzie, and Mariah; Zach, Jordan, Katie, and Connor; Allan II, Alex, and Leigha; Owen and Landon; and five other grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Braxton, Weston, Airalani, Tully "TJ," and two other great-grandchildren; ex-wife, Brenda Mecum; and best friends, Vonis "Sis" Maynard, Robert Wood, and Harold "PeeWee" Morris.
Charlie was the former owner of C & M Towing and owner of Charlie Mecum Auto Parts LLC. He was an avid racing fan, tow truck driver, and card player. Charlie spent all his weekends at the Columbus Motor Speedway and 35 Raceway. He was a member and officer of Missing Link Motorcycle Club and an officer of the local FOE in Grove City.
Visitation Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 4-8pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. An additional visitation will take place Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 11:30am until the time of Funeral Service at 12:30pm at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Funeral Home to assist the family during this difficult time.
