Bill Bloom

William David "Bill" Bloom, 57, of St. Stephen, SC, a service manager for Clayton Homes of North Charleston, died at his home Tuesday morning, December 26, 2023.
A memorial service for Mr. Bloom will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday afternoon, January 6, 2024, in the Chapel of Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to Dial-Murray Funeral Home, 300 West Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC 29461 or (843) 761-8027, to assist with final expenses. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until the hour of service on Saturday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Bloom, who is affectionally known as "Pop Pop", was born March 9, 1966, in Philadelphia, PA, a son of William Bloom and Margaret Shivers Polk. He attended the Russellville Christian Church. Mr. Bloom loved taking his grandson Ethan fishing in Jamestown and having Ethan drive him home through the National Forrest. He would always drive the neighborhood to check on his neighbors and if anyone ever needed anything he would see to it that the need was met, as he was a kind and giving person. Mr. Bloom was a collector of all things especially antiques, he always had a smile on his face and enjoyed cracking jokes, playing pranks and having a beer. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Ethan Exline.
Surviving are his wife, Susan Moore Funk Bloom; his mother of Williston, FL.; two daughters, Brittani Bloom of Williston, Fl., and Jamie Funk of Moncks Corner; two sons, Matthew Funk of Moncks Corner, and Michael Funk and his wife Rachel of Stony Point, NC; two brothers, Richard "Rick" Bloom and Steve Bloom both of Williston, Fl.; and seven grandchildren, Braylon Donelson, Anna Funk, Koltin Smith, Sylar Funk, Kaylee Funk, Garret Smith, and Coleman Donelson.
