Bill Joe Crabill, age 89, of Quincy, died on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 7:25 pm in his home.
He was born on March 20, 1936, in Taylor, Missouri, a son of Cecil and Amber Mantlo Crabill. He married Maxine E. Conrad on August 13, 1955, in Hannibal, Missouri. She preceded him in death on June 18, 2018.
Bill was employed at Brower Manufacturing for over 20 years, manufacturing farm equipment and machinery, until his retirement. He later worked in housekeeping for St. Mary Hospital and Blessing Hospital.
In his free time, Bill enjoyed fishing and playing cards. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include four children, Teresa (Charles) Brose, Paula Starman, Donald (Shari) Crabill, and Linda (Frank) Freiburg; four grandchildren, Rena (Jeff) Kendrick, Scott Brose, Ryan (Amber) Starman, and Kayla (Chandler) Stone; six great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Nathen, Althea, Victor, Eli, and Ace; a brother, Lloyd Crabill; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to wife of 62 years, Maxine, he was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Leland and Wayne Crabill.
Visitation: 9:00 to 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
Service: 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Disseler officiating.
Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
