Bill C "Curly" Ghast, 68, of Greenup, IL., passed away at 6:11 pm on Tuesday March 3, 2026, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday March 9, 2026, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup.

Curly was born on March 13, 1957, in Effingham, IL, to Doris and Josephine (Auteberry) Ghast. Survivors include children Billy "BJ" (Nicole) Ghast, Dakota Ghast, Shawn (Beth) Clements, Victoria Hernadez, Alan Husketh, and Danielle Crabtree; grandchildren Emily, Taylor, Brandon, Austin, Courtney, Gabby, Mari, Millie, and Cooper; brothers Bob Ghast and Bruce (Connie) Ghast. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Dusty Clements.

Curly held varies jobs through the years. He worked at Evapco, Trail Mobile, and Reasor Corporation in Charleston. He was also a very skilled drywall finisher. Some of his hobbies were cutting firewood and taking care of his farm animals.
