Bill Eugene Groscost, born on May 2, 1946, in Mansfield, Ohio, passed away on July 6, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy marked by dedication and service, both in his professional and personal life.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy, embodying the values of honor and sacrifice. His military service not only speaks to his bravery but also to his selfless character—a quality that was evident throughout his life.
For over 35 years, Bill was a planner for various Nuclear Power Plants, a career that showcased his expertise and commitment to safety and efficiency in energy production. His professional journey is a testament to his strong work ethic.
An outgoing and giving person, Bill was beloved by those around him. He cherished his time cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes and the University of Florida Gators.
As we remember Bill Eugene Groscost, we celebrate a man who touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. His contributions to both his profession and community will not be forgotten, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind
Bill is survived by his daughter: Dawn (Shawn) Sherman-Groscost, of FL; three grandchildren: Chris Groscost, of Coloma; Jeremy Dunson, of PA; and Nicci and Angel Sherman, both of FL. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law: Pauline (Billy) Brady, of MD; and several nieces and nephews.
