Bill "PA" Hadden, 75, of
Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in
Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Wednesday, June 28, 1950, in
Flora, Illinois, he was the son of the late John Arthur Hadden, Sr. and the late Elinor Irene Swagger Hadden.
Known affectionately by many as "Pa," this cherished name began with his grandchildren but quickly became the name he was known by to their friends and to many others who felt his warmth and generosity.
Bill retired as Regional Sales Manager for Ermco after forty-three years of dedicated service. Throughout his career, he was admired for his strong work ethic, integrity, and the genuine friendships he built along the way. He had a special gift of making everyone feel important and valued, and his presence brought comfort and encouragement to those around him.
Above all else, Bill loved his family. He treasured the memories they made together and took great joy in family time. Some of his favorite moments were spent at Kentucky Lake-fishing, relaxing, and proudly serving as the "Captain" of the pontoon boat, creating memories that will be treasured forever. He also felt blessed to have the Berry family as an extension of his own and looked forward to every gathering with them, as well as frequent conversations with his friends in the Carolinas, that he considered as family.
Bill was a dedicated member of Center Church and a man of faith whose life reflected his beliefs through kindness and service to others. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, a commitment that reflected his deep sense of duty and love and respect for his country.
A Celebration of service for Mr. Hadden will be held at 1:00 PM of Thursday, Februrary 5, 2026 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiation the service will be Bro. Kenny Birdsong and Bro. David Turner. Visitation for Mr. Hadden will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Private family internment will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery in
Newbern, Tennessee.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty-three years, Joan Berry Hadden of Dyersburg,, Tennessee; two daughters, Jennifer Lane Hadden Markle (Franky) of
Dyersburg, Tennessee, Jamie Lynn Hadden of
Newbern, Tennessee; four sisters, Shaun Haganseiker of Effingham, Illinois; Stephanie Funkhouser (Patrick) of Sydney, Illinois and Cheryl Cullen (Jason) of Clarkdale, Arizona; one brother, Stephen Hadden (Juli) of Phoenix, Arizona and he was "PA" to his grandchildren, Blake Dunevant (Adri), Austin Dunevant (Olivia), Alex Markle and Brody Markle and great grandchildren, Rilee, Kennedy, Raegan, and Carter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Arthur Hadden, Jr.

charity of the donor's choice.
