Bill was one of a kind. When I first met him in 1981, I realized that this is a man I could work for and with for the rest of my career.
My life was never the same after that fateful meeting. I was impressed with the big name clients that Bill had. Ford Motor Company, Jeep, Freightliner, Lloyds of London, and many more.
I initially managed the Bend Oregon office of GGG, then took over the Seattle Branch in 1984. Bill was such a supporter of professional growth of his employees as well as new claim services GGG could offer. Under Bill's sage advice, GGG became the largest Independent adjusting company in the northwest. Over the 25 plus years I worked for and with Bill, we never had words. I admired him so much as a man and as a businessman and high powered investigator.
Over the years as I traveled and did more company marketing, I met so many people who knew Bill personally or had heard of his talents and accomplishments. I was impressed.
I am so saddened by his passing, but I know in my heart that if there is a heaven, he's there now, playing his guitar again and singing gospel songs to the masses. RIP my good friend, you will be missed.

I was lucky enough to be hired by him (after being courted by Jim Ronning) and thoroughly enjoying the many year with him and others at Giesy Greer and Gunn. Many fond memories and private lunches with him at the elks. I am please I could always make him laugh.
He liked the BLondie cartoon I cut out and put on his desk which showed Mr Dithers (labled by me as BIll H) bemoaning and worrying about how bad the business was doing - and Dagwood (labeled Mark) saying it could be worse. When Mr. Dithers asked how, Dagwood responded- "well it could be my business!"
Thanks for being a good part of my life
