Bill Lind Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Williamson - White Funeral Home and Cremation Services - Amery on Jan. 24, 2025.
Bill Lind, age 85, of Amery, passed away in his home surrounded by family. Bill was born June 27, 1939 in Bemidji, MN. He graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1957 and attended Dunwoody College for Electronics.
He was joined in marriage on February 7, 1959 to Janet Marcon. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years; sister Mary (Bruce) Johnson; daughters, Diana (Dean) Anderson, Lorri (Bill) Bryan and Julie (Gary) Blake; son David (Michelle) Lind; grandchildren, Deanna Anderson, Michael (Steph) Anderson, Jeremiah (Brittanie) Lutz, Megan (Cody) DeNucci, Nicole (Eric) Smith, Jaimeson (Jessica) Lutz, Christopher (Jennifer) Lutz, Derek (Heather) Dravis, Rebecca (Steven) Attebery, Brody Lind, Declan Lind and 17 great grandchildren.
His family was further enriched by the addition of grandchildren, Casey (Kyle) Fox, Hailé (Dustin) Motes, McKenzie (Dillion) Euriga, Madi (Jon) Eschenbach and 8 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Cora Lind, sisters Alice Jean (Rod) Williams and Dolores (Wayne) Morton.
Bill was a hard-working family man. In his lifetime, he worked as a full-time fire fighter before going on to work for 30 years and retiring from the WI Gas Company. He was a proud lifetime member of the NRA and WI Bear Hunter's Association. He was also a member of the WI Conservation Congress for 34 years where he was able to cultivate his passion and love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. Through these positions, that love and passion has been passed down for many future generations.
He enjoyed having his family visit at his home and the campground. Spending time collecting agates, sitting around the campfire, listening to music and sharing stories with a beverage or two.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, WI.
