Bill Shoemaker

His name and his legacy live on in our hearts....He is missed in the race-horse industry. I wish he were around so I could meet him.

I keep thinking he is still here and I am going to meet and talk to him. We would be talking horses..and I would learn much from him

I grew up at the trax my uncle was Charlie King and my father was Thomas King Warren my uncle Bob king was the pastmast at Hollywood Park . I remember my family all talking to Bill when I was just a kid a wonderful man. He will be truly missed.

You gave racing fans a thrill every time you rode. I was there for your last race and even though you didn't win, you got the biggest ovation of all. It was an honor and privilege to watch you ride. God bless. you.
