Billie June Switzer Baker, age 91, passed away on July 19, 2025. Bille was born in Belzoni, Mississippi, to Gilbert and Estelle Switzer on November 26, 1933. Billie loved her family dearly. She will be remembered as Mamaw by her grandchildren, their spouses, and her great grandchildren. She was never happier than when she could spend time with her family. To know Mamaw was to feel cherished and loved.

We take comfort knowing that she was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by her Savior, her beloved husband Billy, and her grandson Tripp Gardner.

Billie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Belzoni, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her husband Billy Baker, her parents Gilbert and Estelle Switzer, her grandson Tripp Gardner, and her son-in-law Louie Leblanc.

Billie is survived by her daughters Cindy Leblanc and Joy Ruth Davis, her son George Gardner, Jr. (Kathy), grandchildren Dodie McElmurray (Chip), Hunter Davis, and Heather Franklin (Kevin), step grandchildren Chad Leblanc (Angela), and Jenny Leblanc, great grandchildren Walker Stewart and Thomas LeBlanc.

Her memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, Belzoni, Mississippi, on Friday, July 25th at 2:00 p.m. There will be a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, please send any memorials to the First Baptist Church, P O Box 654, Belzoni, MS 39038, or UMMC Cancer Center and Research Institute Capital Campaign (Donate online).
