Billie Barnes Obituary
Billie L. Barnes, born on February 1, 1938, in Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away on June 30, 2024 in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was the daughter of Chester and Leola Jones (Morton).
Billie was known for her feisty and independent spirit, cherished by all who knew her. She was a truly amazing grandmother who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. Her love for cooking, crocheting, and exploring new places enriched her life and those around her.
Among proudest accomplishments was that she traveled the world, fulfilling her adventurous spirit and creating lasting memories along the way. Billie is survived by a loving family that includes her granddaughter Tammy Briscoe; great-grandsons Matthew and Micah Briscoe; granddaughter Carri Lawrence (Wallace); great-grandsons Deangelo Johnson and Gabe Lawrence; and great-granddaughter Vivian Adams and her best friend Carolyn Comer.
Billie's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace as her memory lives on in the hearts of those she touched during her remarkable journey through life.
