Billie Fugatt, 69, of Lima, passed on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Shawnee Manor in Lima. She was born on August 5, 1956 in Richlands, VA to the late Charles Brewster and Rebecca Parr Smith.
On January 19, 1980, she married Bill Fugatt, who preceded her in death. Billie was a dispatcher for Black and White Cab Company. She was a former member of the American Legion in Lima and attended Lima Deliverance Tabernacle Church. She loved roosters, sunflowers, and painting everything red. Most of all, she loved raising kids. If all her kids weren’t fighting with each other, she wasn’t happy.
She is survived by her children: John (Wendy) Brewster, Mike (Amy “Samantha”) Brewster, Tim (Heather) Fugatt, Jodi (Jeff) Day, Cory (Katy) Fugatt, Dom (Tabby) Barrows, and Dakota Davis, grandchildren: Lt. John, Bethany, Brittany, Bubba, Kaylee, Bo, Coy, Tiffany, Samantha, Dakota, Braiden, Shyanna, Abbie, Millies, Chastity, Billie Jo, Clayton, Aaliyah, Lt. Cory, Aaron, Chevy Jo, Noel, Noni, Jimmy, Li’Naya, Nevaeh, Taeven, Rhiannyn, and Xavia, 28 great-grandchildren, 29 great-great-grandchildren, 30+ Foster children, and siblings: Debra Lane, Tracey Green, Barbara VanDyke, Charles “Big Rob” Brewster, Charles “Little Rob” Brewster, Johnny McGhee, and Jack “Slugger” McGhee.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Blanche Brewster and Rebecca and Leamen Smith, daughter: Jenifer Fugatt, sisters: Sandra Adkins and Vivian “Cissy” Helton, brothers: Timmy Brewster and Walter McGhee, grandson: Maverick Brewster, and best friend: Bubby Gipson.
Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Unionopolis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
