Billie Jane Kelley

Billie Jane "BJ" Kelley of Warrior, Ala. passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

A graveside service for BJ will be held at Bivens Chapel Cemetery on Wednesday, November 12, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow immediately after.

BJ was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Harris; sons, C.A. Harris, Jr. and Clifton Britt Harris; grandson, Daniel Jake Smith; parents, Harry Angus and Margaret Sarah Skelton; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Ann Harris; brothers, Herbert, Harold and Frank Skelton; and sister, Pam Skelton Vaughn. She is survived by her daughters, Neisa Gooch (Dale) and Tammy Smith (Randy); grandchildren, Jason Gooch (Rachel), Steven Gooch (Steve), B.J. Harris (Krystal), Keylan Smith (Abby), and Misty Ford (DeWayne); great-grandchildren, Brianna Flynn (Dylan), Averee Gooch, Greyson Gooch, Reanna Harris, Kyleigh Harris, Brody Harris, Arya Smith, and Brooks Gooch; one great-great-grandson, Beau Tyler Flynn; and brother, Richard Skelton (Dianne).

BJ was an avid reader and loved her DATELINE T.V. shows.And of course, George Jones. She loved the years spent on Logan Martin Lake with her second husband, Bobby Kelley. Those were her best years. Later in life she lived and traveled with her daughter, Tammy, and son-in-law, Randy, and was best friends with their dog, Cola. She has left many special friends, including Billy Joe Mitchell, California and Carson Skelton, with whom she enjoyed many long conversations.

She has left a place in our hearts and lives that will never be filled. Love you, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great-Great-Grandmother, and dear friend.
