Mrs. Billie Sue Reinhardt Moxley, 96, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025 after a battle with Alzheimer's. She no longer has to say, "where am I" but instead says, "I am home". She was born February 13, 1929 in Yadkin County to the late Jim and Mattie Reinhardt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, George Eugene Moxley; siblings, Ruth R. Key Brown, Dan Reinhardt, and Esther R. Jolly. Mrs. Moxley is survived by her children, Randall (Sara) Moxley and Susan Moxley; grandchildren, Savannah (John) Carpenter, Candace Moxley; great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Tripp, Kinleigh Carpenter, and a baby girl due in March 2026; brother, Max Reinhardt (age 94), and many nieces; nephews; and cousins. After growing up in the Depression and graduating from West Yadkin High School and Draughn's Business College, Mrs. Moxley and George were married and two children. Her love for family was shown always. Her grandkids made her so happy. She cooked Sunday lunches for many, many years until she was no longer able. Her intense love of sweets inspired her to make those wonderful homemade chocolate pies and other desserts including her peach muffins that she would take to sick friends. She also had a strong affection for dogs, especially Rubi and Lucy. Our parents always had a dog or cat. She enjoyed taking walks with our neighbor, Jean, and her dog through the woods. Mrs. Moxley enjoyed traveling across The United States and many trips to the mountains in the fall to "see the leaves" and to the coast at her sister's cottage at Ocean Drive. She loved to crochet, cross stitch, and play cards. Mrs. Moxley was a member of North Oak Ridge Baptist Church, where she attended while she was able. She loved her Ladies Sunday school class.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, December 18, 2025 at North Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation to all the friends and family for the thoughts and prayers, and a special thank you to the staff of Chatham Nursing and Rehab Center, Chatham Hospital, and to her care givers during her illness.
