Billie Sue Fryer Parish, a resident of
Clayton, Alabama, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her friends and family. She was 82 years old.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Clayton Cemetery in
Clayton, Alabama, with Dr. Larry Teasley officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. Flowers were accepted, or memorial contributions can be made to the American Parkinsons Disease Association-PO Box 61420 Stanton Island, NY 10306.
Billie Sue was born on July 9, 1943, in Eufaula, Alabama, to the late William Olen "Billy" and Tura Green Fryer. At the age of 6, Billie Sue moved to Atlanta, Georgia. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Billie Sue was an accomplished artist and enjoyed being with her family and her fur babies. Billie Sue was also an avid Auburn Football fan, "War Eagle!" She was a member of Clayton Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Wendy Ketura Witherington.
Survivors include her loving husband, Joseph Edward Parish, Sr. of Clayton; two sons, William Allen Witherington, III (Robin) of Newnan, GA, and Ed Parish (Julie) of Montgomery; daughter, Laney Gulledge (Paul) of Clayton; two brothers, Lynwood Green Fryer (Mana Moreles) of Bocas Del Toro, Panama, and Jeff Fryer (Kim) of Phenix City; Karen McLendon of Phenix City, seven grandchildren, Will Witherington, Alli Witherington, Brooke Witherington, Paul Gulledge (Julie), Angela Taylor (Hollis), Lauren Parish, and Morgan Parish, five great-grandchildren, Makayla Gulledge, Parker Gulledge, Avery Brooke Gulledge, Carter Taylor, and Ryder Taylor; and her aunt, Erma Wilson.
Serving as pallbearers were, Scott Gettle, Charles Sewell, Vincent Vincent, Paul Gulledge Sr., Paul Gulledge Jr., Will Witherington, John Martin, Hollis Taylor, Mack Williams, Mike Denny, and Allison Broadaway.
