Billie Karrine Parsons

Billie Karrine (DeBold) Parsons, 68, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025, in her beloved beach home surrounded by her family.

Billie was born on July 10, 1957, in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late William and Wilma DeBold. She was a graduate of West Liberty University and a Registered Dental Hygienist by profession. She was a member and Columbiette of St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, Shallotte; a Piperette of Sandpiper Bay Golf Club, and an Avon Ambassador.

Billie was preceded in death by her father and mother, William and Wilma DeBold. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gary Dean Parsons; her son, Garrett Parsons; her daughter, Afton Parsons; her siblings, Mickey (Robert) Massey, Renea (Bobby) King, and Joseph DeBold; her father and Mother-in-law, Gary and JoAnn Parsons; and many nieces and nephews.

Billie was a loving and warmhearted wife, mother, and friend to many. She cherished spending time with her family and pets, reading, walking on the beach, running races, traveling, golfing, supporting local charities, camping, and socializing with others.

A Catholic Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church in Shallotte with Rev. Mark Betti officiating. Interment and fellowship to follow.

The family would like to express gratitude to the medical staff at Duke University Hospital, Coastal Cancer Center, Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center, Grand Strand Medical Center, and Lower Cape Fear Life Care.
