Billy Howard Andrews

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Papa, Billy Howard Andrews, Sr. who departed this life on November 10, 2025 at the age of 87, at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Andrews was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on November 30, 1937, to the late Lucious Lamar Andrews and Rosa Minter Andrews. Mr. Andrews worked at Central State Hospital and retired with 34 years of service. He was preceded in death by his sisters Marguerite Andrews Grimes, Carolyn Andrews Nolan, and Mabeleen Jones and his beloved dog Jack. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of Black Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. Andrews is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years Joyce Bonner Andrews, his son, Billy Howard Andrews, Jr. (Shannon) and his daughter Tonya Andrews Wright (Trippe) all of Milledgeville, two cherished grandchildren Brooke Andrews and Aaron Andrews (Savannah) of Milledgeville, four adored great grandchildren, Harmonie, Khourie, Braxton, and Connor, of Milledgeville, his brother Gary Andrews of Milledgeville and his sister Alice Parker of Macon, and a host of extended family and dear friends.
A celebration of Papa's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday November 17th at Black Springs Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Black Springs Church Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes.
May Papa rest in peace, forever remembered and cherished in our hearts. Jesus loves you.
