Billy J. Asbill

Billy Joe Asbill, 76, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025. A beloved dad, paw-paw and friend, Bill was born on July 14, 1948 in Corinth, MS. He was raised by his Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Willard Horton after the passing of his parents at a young age. He retired as Production Superintendent from W.R Grace after 42 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, being on the lake, golfing, horseback riding, watching Tennessee and Alabama college football and piddlin'-around the farm.

He is preceded in death by his parents John Everett Asbill and Martha Ruth Dickey Asbill, brother Jimmy Lyle Asbill and his Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Willard Horton.

He is survived by his brothers Larry Asbill; David(Patty) Asbill of Corinth, MS; Ronnie(Kathy) Asbill of Philadelphia, MS; Hal Horton of Corinth, MS; Children Marty(Mimi) Asbill of Ooltewah, TN; Robby(Heather) Asbill or Tunnel Hill, GA; Becky(Trevor) Grudzinski of Harrison, TN; Julie Moller of Ooltewah, TN; Jeremy(Beth Ann) Booth of Ooltewah, TN; Grandchildren Trent & Kindell Grudzinski, Riley & Brennen Asbill, Taylor Booth, Braedyn & Lindsay & Maverick Moller; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m.
