Billy Dean Cain

Billy Dean Cain, a beloved resident of Bloomingdale, GA, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on Friday, May 14, 1937, Billy was a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great great grandchildren who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Billy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army before dedicating over 20 years of his life to a fulfilling career in maintenance at Georgia Pacific. Outside of his professional life, Billy was a passionate outdoorsman and a long-standing member of the Redbird Creek Hunting Club in Richmond Hill. He found joy in watching Westerns, fishing, hunting, and working with wood, often creating beautiful and lasting pieces.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 37 years, Peggy Sheppard Cain, his parents Charles and Lizzie-May Cain, his two daughters Brenda Cain and Elizabeth "Liddy" Cain, and siblings James Cain, Oretell Mills, Charlie Mills, Jake Mills, Boby Jean Cain, and Lujean Cain.

Billy leaves behind his devoted children, two daughters, Geneva Cain and Tina Everett (Jessie) and son, Robert Hall Jr.. He was a proud grandfather to 17 grandchildren: Dean Hall, Dustin Ruarks, Harly Hall, Tyler Ray, Jason Scott, Dylan Driggers, Kayla Driggers, Elizabeth Everett, Donovein Everett, Akemi Everett, Ashley Williams, Gabrielle Dasher, Shantel, Trudy, Kirstie, Anthony and Robert. His legacy continues through his numerous great and great great grandchildren, nephew and close friend, Raymond and Gale Mills all of whom brought immense joy to his life.

Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Billy's life on Friday, February 6, 2026. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Flanders Powell Funeral Home. Following this, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm in the Flanders Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory.

Billy Dean Cain will forever be remembered for his kindness, devotion to family, and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
