Billy Joe Chunn

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there is a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

I knew Billy Joe 25-30 years from camp meetings, homecomings, and various worship services at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Always had so much respect for him, he always treated me the same way. A fine example of a Christian man who served the Lord faithfully throughout his life. Sorry I couldn't make the visitation or the services but heaven welcomed a fine guitar player, singer, and Godly man.

Becky, Fran, and Ms. Wilma: I was so sadden to hear of Billy Joe's passing. I don't think Mother of Daddy ever spoke his name without adding what a good man he was. They thought the world of him and are having a wonderful reunion. I bet he, Daddy, Uncle Shorty, Aunt Myrtle, Uncle Ray, and Billy are already fishing in heaven! Hugs to all. Bev
