Billy Joe Copous Sr., 92 of Waynesboro, TN passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026.
Visitation will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, TN with funeral services following at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN. Internment will be held at Memorial Gardens in Collinwood, TN with Bobby Gobble officiating and Shackelford Funeral Directors directing.
He was born in the McCall Ridge Community of Collinwood, TN. He served in the U.S. Army for 2 years, a truck driver, and merchant. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Ann Sutton Copous; parents, Ed and Vada Daniel Copous; siblings, Evelyn Holt, Warren Copous, Bonnie Diviney, Tommy Copous, Earl Copous, and Ronald Copous.
He is survived by daughter, Kim (Tim) Morgan of Sheffield, AL; son, Billy J. (Rhonda) Copous Jr. of Nashville, TN; grandsons, Ross (Meredith) Morgan, and Reed (Christen) Morgan; great-grandchildren, Caroline, Emily, Avery, Paige, and Evan Morgan.
