Billy Ray Davis, age 65 of Lafayette, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
He was born in Erwin, Tennessee to the late Wade Davis, and Ethel “Nancy” Lovette Davis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vicky Lee Tolley.
He spent most of his life in the construction industry. He was great with fixing most anything by hand, and he proudly served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by sister, Betty Jo Shipley Mounts (Doug); brothers, Calvin Davis, Ronald Davis, Jeffrey Davis (Amy Jo), and Donald Davis; like a daughter, Victoria Lee Weber (Eric) and her two children Addison and Derick Weber; girlfriend, Lana Trapp; niece, Heather Renee Dizon (Daniel Duane); nephew Michael Kevin Tolley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. Serving as pallbearers will be, Michael Tolley, Ronald Davis, Calvin Davis, “Mikey” Tolley, Dustin Tolley. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 8:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Anderson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main Street, Gallatin.
